SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – Lawrence Technological University Director of Athletics Scott Trudeau has announced the removal of the interim tag and elevation of Jacob Paige to the full-time men’s volleyball head coaching position effective today.

“Jacob did an exceptional job turning our program around and bringing in a competitive team this year,” said Trudeau. “We are so glad to have an LTU alumni take the reigns and guide these young men through the classroom and on the court.”

Coach Paige was thrust into the interim role back in January, less than two weeks before the start of the season, as Katie Reifert took the women’s volleyball head coaching position at her alma mater George Washington University.

In his first season on the sidelines, the Lawrence Tech alum guided his squad to just the second double-digit wins season (10) in the five-year history of the varsity program.
Under Coach Paige’s guidance, the Blue Devils tied the program mark for conference wins in a season in the highly competitive Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference, which finished the 2022 season with two top 15 ranked teams and two others receiving votes.

“I am very humbled and excited to continue my coaching career and lead these student-athletes at LTU,” said Coach Paige. “Lawrence Tech is my home and the team has become my family. I want to thank Scott Trudeau and Associate Athletic Director Mary Ann Meltzer for instilling the confidence in me and trusting me with the men’s program.”
