The FGCU women’s basketball team defeated the Virginia Tech Hokies to advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
The Eagles won 84-81. Kierstan Bell led the Eagles in scoring with 22 points.
FGCU will face the winner of fourth seed Maryland and 13th seed Delaware on March 20. Tip off for the game has not been announced yet.
